About Us

JCSL is a London-based lifestyle brand initially created to fill the void between contemporary streetwear and your everyday Christian, founded by Dolapo Sunmonu in 2020.

With his deep faith values and love for clothing at the core, Dolapo honed in on his design and interpersonal skills to source unique fabrics and work with highly skilled manufacturers, building what was once BY SUNMONU.

After years of working on the brand using his surname, it was eclipsed by its trademark design, 'Jesus Christ Saves Lives'. It was then reasonably renamed with a new vision and aesthetic in mind, growing in maturity and prow, just like Dolapo.

The brand continues in this direction, building its community online and, for the first time in 2026, in person through pop-ups and community events.
